Turkmen leader to come to Moscow

The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhammedov received the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrey Denisov who arrived in Ashkhabad on a working visit.

”Turkmenistan places special emphasis on strengthening Turkmenistan-Russia relations as one of its foreign policy’s strategic priorities,” Gurbanguly Berdymuhammedov said, mentioning the high level of established intergovernmental cooperation.

Speaking about prospects for the extension of bilateral cooperation, the parties made a point of the Turkmen leader’s forthcoming state visit to Moscow this March, preparations for which are under way. “Russia considers this visit not only as a milestone key in the bilateral relations history, but also as a regional and international scale event,” Andrey Denisov said.
