Russia’s main priority in foreign policy and economy remain the relationships with the CIS countries. It was declared today by the Russian Prime Minister at a meeting with parliamentary fraction leaders.
“We have a profound degree of cooperation here,” he emphasized and added that Russia and the CIS countries are united by a single transport system, a single power system and the Russian language. “All that is sought-for and will be developed,” said Putin. He noted that Russia has not taken off the entry into WTO from the agenda but “the creation of Russia’s customs union with Byelorussia and Kazakhstan has come to the fore.” He also reminded of the just-completed SCO and BRIC meeting in Yekaterinburg. “We will intensify these areas,” said the Prime Minister. |
