The Agency for International Business Development to Become Uzbekistan’s National Working Element of the SCO Business Council

The Agency for International Business Development was established on the initiative and with the participation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The Agency will become a national working element of the SCO Business Council on the part of Uzbekistan.

The main objective of the new structure is rendering practical assistance to the Uzbek business in the development of trade and economic relations with foreign partners.

The Agency’s major tasks are the following:

- creation of infrastructure and support of socionetwork possibilities for the business circles on the Business-to-Business level (B2B);

- creation of foreign commodity distribution infrastructure to promote the Uzbek commodities;

- creation of foreign infrastructure to attract direct investment in the Uzbek entrepreneurs’ projects;

- rendering of business service;

To achieve the above goal and tasks, the Agency plans to carry out the following activities:

- creation and operational management of the Uzbek-foreign business circles activities;

- creation abroad of the trade and investment houses of CCI of Uzbekistan;

- business services;

- information service;

- investment consulting services;

- legal services;

- marketing services;

- electronic commerce projects development and implementation etc.

The Agency plans to create in 2009-2010 Uzbek-Turkish, Uzbek-Chinese, Uzbek-Korean, Uzbek-German, Uzbek -Japanese, Uzbek-Emirati and Uzbek-Saudi Business Councils.

Within the Agency development concept the Sagdia trade and investment house of CCI of Uzbekistan was also created with the area of responsibility in Baltic and Scandinavia states, Poland and Hungary. The above mentioned trade and investment house made an agreement of $150 million attracting in the Uzbek investment projects. Moreover, in 2009-2010 the Agency plans to create trade and investment houses of CCI in Russia, China, South Korea, Turkey, Germany, Japan, UAE and Saudi Arabia.
